CBkids

Welcome to CBkids. Thank you for your patience as we update our website.

Nursery

Our nursery is for children six weeks to 18 months.

Littlekids

Littlekids is for our 18 month to 3.5 year olds. In this area, we have lots of play time, a weekly Bible lesson with crafts and games, and snack time(Kix).  Our goal is to introduce the fact that God made them, loves them and wants to be their friend forever.

Music/Worship

Preschool to Second Grade

Our preschool to Second graders begin in our main CBkids environment where they will sing and dance to upbeat music as they learn how to worship God.  We also take an offering for our two Compassion International children – Tanya & Isaias during this time.

Third to Fifth

Our 3rd to 5th graders begin in our “big church” worship service where they start to learn how to worship with the larger body of the church. They will get dismissed to their CBkids environment from here.

Large Group & Small Group Time

Preschool & Kindergarten

Small group time consists of an interactive Bible lesson with crafts, games and activities that help your child apply that day’s lesson and memory verse.  Our goal is to have them understand that God loves them, made them and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

1st to 5th Grade

After worship there is a large group time with fun skits and games as we explain that month’s virtue and the weekly Bible story. The kids then break up into grade based small groups to do fun activities to help them think about and apply that day’s lesson to their lives. Parent Cue cards go home with fun activities you can use at home.

CBkids 345 Jr Youth Night

We wanted to carve out a space for our Third to Fifth Graders to connect with each other and their leaders because we believe life is lived better in relationship. Our first meeting is Oct 14th from 6:30-8 PM at the Robbin’s home (118 Delaware Crossing, Woolwich NJ).  It will be a fun time of games, worship and learning how to apply the Bible to our daily lives.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Every summer Crossbridge sponsors VBS for its families and the children in the community. We look forward each year to sharing God’s love with our kids & our community. VBS is scheduled this year for July 24-27, with our Finale Sunday on July 30. Click here to register your child.

Our VBS doesn’t happen without our awesome volunteers. If you are interested in helping this year, register to help here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child be baptized?

At Crossbridge, we practice Baby Dedications instead of infant baptism.  We have a Baby Dedication class twice a year (November 13 and May 2017).  Baby Dedication is a step the parents take in committing to raise their child to know Jesus and become more like Him. For more information on our BabyD, click here.

At Crossbridge, we practice a believer’s baptism for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.  We encourage students who are in 6th grade and older and are interested in Baptism to speak with Pastor Jimmy.  For more information on children and baptism, please speak with one of our Pastors or our CBkids Director.

When can my child take communion?

We believe that taking communion is an act of remembrance for a person who is in a relationship with Jesus.  Starting in third grade, the students will have the opportunity to partake in communion.  It is up to you and your child to determine if they are ready for this step.  We  have a Parent Handbook & Student Workbook that explains in detail what we believe about communion.

Do I need to check my child in each week?

Yes, for safety reasons we ask that you check in your child each week.

My child wants to be with their sibling? Is that okay?

We understand that being in a new environment can be daunting for your little one and we try to accommodate their needs whenever possible.  If siblings from two different age groups choose to stay together, we ask that they both participant in the younger age group so that both can understand the daily lesson.

My child has special needs.  Is he/she welcome to participate?

We believe that God created and loves all children and we do too!  We would love to have your child join us in either our CBkids programs or main service.  If certain accommodations are needed, please let us know and we will do our best to provide them.  More questions? Contact our special needs coordinator, Jeanine, at jm.robbins@comcast.net or fill out our questionnaire here.

My child has allergies.  Do you serve snacks?

We try to be very allergy conscious in all our snacks.  Our nursery – 3 year olds are offered Kix each week.  Our older grades do have snacks as they pertain to the daily  lesson.  All snacks will be announced on a sign at the check-in table.
